23 things I learned before I turned 23

This list is chaotic. I am not going to apologize.

  1. Orange does not suit me; neither does yellow, so now I hate these colors.
  2. Red and pink, on the other hand, definitely do.
  3. While I’m happy I got my degree, it has not been very useful thus far.
  4. People are not as bad as I thought.
  5. Getting drunk and arguing with people for fun, is not fun.
  6. I have lived thru using an atlas, Mapquest, car navigation, and now Apple Maps.
  7. Kids can actually be cool. I might want one someday.
  8. It indeed is weird when people you went to high school with get married and/or have children. It invokes uncomfortable feelings, at least for me.
  9. It is wise to have an alcoholic beverage that you always order at the bar; helps to avoid mixing.
  10. One day my legs are going to look just like my moms. This is strictly just important to me.
  11. Speaking of my mom, parents are people too which is a weird realization to come to.
  12. Trends have lost their value though I think more and more people are feeling this one.
  13. I just cannot pull off winged eyeliner, but I still keep trying for some reason.
  14. Being jealous of others because they are doing something I cannot do right now is uncool, toxic behavior.
  15. I prefer to carry a large purse and treat it like a first aid kit for my life.
  16. Having a sister really is like having a built in best friend.
  17. I will not be ashamed of liking things no one else enjoys, and I will not like things just because others do.
  18. Speaking of things people like, I do not like sweets. They are just too much. You can argue with the wall.
  19. Burnout is real.
  20. Oh, and so are shin splints? I did not learn this until I was 22; I never played sports, okay?
  21. While I am intelligent, I sometimes lack common sense (refer to the statement above) and that is a-okay. It means there is literally always something to learn.
  22. I am a wannabe horse girl but like the east coast kind.
  23. I am not sure if I will ever be 100% okay with who I am. This is okay because there will always be room for growth.
